Musician & performer of all percussion instruments, Pritam has played Tabla for over 20 years. An expert percussionist and Tabla player, Pritam also plays Dholak, HandSonic, Ganjira (Kanjira), Mridangam, Pakhawaj, Bongo Djembe, Darbuka, and many more instruments unique to the rhythm section. Pritam has performed as an accompanist with several artists all over India and in the USA, Qatar, Sri Lanka, UAE, Thailand, Bangladesh.

Pritam received his training under the guidance of Pt Shubhankar Banerjee, Shri Ujjwal Bharati, Shri Kartik Bhoumik, and his father, Shri Ganesh Chakraborty.

Pritam has won several competitions and received many awards. Prominent amongst them are the All Bengal Cultural Competition (1997), Puoro Chhatra Yuva Utsav (2005), The Dover Lane Music Competition (2005), All India Radio Competition (2007), All India Indian Classical Music Competition (2009), Paschim Banga Rajya Sangeet Academy (2009, 2010), Paschim Banga Rajya Yuva Utsav – State Level Champion (2013).
